Who are Conversion?

We're a specialist conversion optimisation agency at the cutting-edge of our industry. We pioneered the data-driven approach to optimisation, and have delivered over $1 billion in additional revenue for our clients. We work with clients across all industries, from established brands such as The Trainline, The Guardian and Citrix, to developing businesses in niche markets.

Conversion rate optimisation (CRO) is the science of understanding how people behave online. We combine user research, data analysis, psychology and behavioural economics to make our clients' websites more successful. We use A/B split testing to measure the impact of every recommendation we make on real website users. This allows us to determine which changes work, and which don’t.

Working at Conversion is great fun – it’s a relaxed and informal environment where we work hard and focus on results. Our modern office is situated just 5 minutes’ walk from Farringdon tube station. Our kitchen is fully stocked with breakfast foods, fruit, snacks and a fancy coffee machine to keep you fuelled up. We also have our own table tennis table and last but not least you’ll get to meet Charlie, our MD’s spaniel.

Requirements:

We are looking for a designer with a portfolio that showcases your best work. Any sort of web and mobile projects made – professional or from voluntary work is a must. We would love to see examples of a user focussed approach within your work and for you to be able to explain your design choices.

You will be given responsibility for wireframing and designing A/B tests. It includes designing full pages or elements for fixed or responsive websites. We also have many mobile-focused projects and email campaigns.

Think of it as a crash course on how to create the most effective websites across a range of industries including gaming, finance, education, and more. Your creative juices will also be tapped for many internal projects (we need design for our tools, documents and external promotional materials).

What experience are we looking for?

VISUAL DESIGN: A portfolio proving your familiarity with web design (or mobile app design) would be a great way to see your skills. We expect to see great attention to details in presented works. We use Adobe CC here so it would be great if you’re proficient with it.

WIREFRAMING: Having experience with wireframing is a must. We use UXPin and we’ll teach you how to build projects using it, but familiarity with any wireframing software is a plus.

USER EXPERIENCE DESIGN: A beautiful design is one thing – helping users maneuver websites easily thanks to that design is even better!

TEAM PLAYER: We've got a great atmosphere in the office and want you to be a part of it! We hold regular activities within the design team and we’re really open to suggestions. Have a look at our latest team-project: http://20days.myportfolio.com/!

CLEAR COMMUNICATOR: You need to be able to talk about your designs and understand the needs of the rest of our team.

DEADLINE ORIENTED: You'll have multiple projects on the go at once, so time management and an awareness of deadlines is key.

CREATIVE THINKER: The best solution is often one that no one has thought of yet. We love new ideas and passion towards creative fields!

PROTOTYPING: We aim to build working prototypes to give our clients a clear picture of our ideas. Experience with prototyping is not mandatory, but would be a great bonus.
